Not the right feelings

She’s beautiful

You say to yourself

While she puts on the make up

In the bedroom mirror

Then when she’s sipping her morning coffee

Browsing through a magazine

You can’t take your eyes off her,

Like noticing her for the very first time.

While she prepares your sandwich

For lunch, you smile thankful

And try to get ready for work.

She says something,

A comment to an article

And you say to yourself:

She’s smart,

My wife is a smart lady.

I'm  so proud of her!

Then another voice in you replies:

She has everything a man

Could want in a woman…

Too bad you can't love her.
